An opportunity to gain experience and exposure in live design, illustration and response to audience feedback.
Venturefest is a business innovation showcase, focusing on technology, creativity and science.
Venturefest 2012 at UWE Conference Centre (Frenchay), 7th November, will feature demos, workshops, talks & displays, including Supersonic jet and rocket powered car Bloodhound and Pervasive Media Studio residents DanceRoom Spectroscopy.
To represent and expose undergraduate artists in Bristol, Venturefest are looking for 2 or 3 UWE students to join a small team, illustrating an installation of the words “INNOVATION SHOWCASE “.
You will be creating a visual documentation of public response from the festival; engaging with the public, using a sketchbook to take written and drawn notes, then referring the feedback onto the large letters. Elements of pre-designed illustration can be incorporated too.
7 of the letters remain blank from Venturefest 2011. The aim is to collaborate, working with a professional illustrator, to link them aesthetically, whilst expressing your style.
Currently Venturefest are able to cover expenses and provide materials – paint markers and artists permanent markers (more materials can be brought in).
You will have access to professional event photography, and there is the possibility of having a more involved, paid role in Venturefest 2013.
