Typenowhere was set up by BA(Hons) Graphic Design at The University of the West of England Bristol in 2008. It aims to support student learning, act as an online platform to exhibit student work and to promote the various creative sectors with the hope of engaging industry.

The BA(Hons) course explores the changing concept of graphic design and the role of the graphic designer in society and the professional world. In its many forms, graphic design makes an increasing contribution to the cultural and economic life of contemporary society. It exists in the public domain, is an indicator of current cultural thinking and is a catalyst for social, cultural and political change. Our aim is to produce a cohort of creative thinkers who can apply their skills in any chosen forum.

    Hi
I found your contacts through arts thread and wondered if you could help me with an enquiry,

My names Kirstie Pitt, I’m a third year student at UCA Rochester in Kent studying Fashion Promotion. I’m creating a directory/student profile which contains different students work/profiles from a wide variety of creative courses across the UK using elements of the course itself with information on the student and the work they have created over the time spent on their pathway.

I’m looking for a third year BA student who would like to extend their portfolio, If they’re interested all they have to do is send me over PDF files of their best work (i.e photoshoots, stills) which they’re comfortable in showing online and through the booklet which I will be creating. This will be sent out to a to industry professional so that become aware of said student and course with exhibition dates. I will also ask for a quick Q&A about the course that they attend and a bit about what they do and how they work for example.

Providing the student with exposure of their contact details with how to get in touch if anyone wants to get involved in their spectrum and showcase their work on a different platform other then through the university.

If you have anyone in mind or would like to pass on the message to third year student I would be more then grateful then I will explain the full criteria so they get a better understanding of the idea.

    My contact details are kirstie.pitt@gmail.com

    Many Thanks
