Feminism has an image problem. In 2014, the ideas that have fuelled the movement for decades have never been more visible – or popular – and yet it remains stigmatized.
I set out to show that the principles of feminism have value for us all, and asked one simple question: what does feminism mean? The answers have been screenprinted on to tea towels, an item traditionally associated with ‘women’s work’, and demonstrate just how deeply embedded in the modern psyche feminism has become. Even if, as most women might say today, “I’m not a feminist, but…”
