This project is about the M19 demonstration in London opposing racism and in support of refugees. Only one major newspaper reported the event and that was the Daily Mail. The publication and video provides documentation of an event that would have otherwise stayed pretty much unreported. It is important that people make their voices heard. We are not the minority; this was clear at the demonstration with over 20,000 people on the streets picketing and standing up to racism. ‘No one skin would be tough enough’ is a quote from the poem ‘home’ by Warsan Shire this was spoken at the demonstration and is featured within the publication. Alongside this poem are other speeches, quotes and chants made by protesters. Many pages act as a call and response similar to that experienced at the march.
