Social Engagement – Volunteering – Jonny & Mia

https://vimeo.com/126727749

Jonny and Mia are both third year biology students at The University of Bristol. They do a few hours a week helping out on the wards of the Bristol Royal Infirmary.  They demonstrate how volunteering is a beneficial experience and can help guide career path choices. I created this piece using Flash, After Effects and Premiere Pro.

After receiving great treatment from the NHS June decided to give back by volunteering on THE wards in her local hospital.

She also looks after her husband David who otherwise would need care   and a few of her neighbours and friends. This piece was created using Premier pro and after effects.

Social Engagement – A Wonderful Light

Carlos has been in England for 12 years now and lives a very different life to the one he did in Brazil. Carlos tells a series of events that changed his life for/ever.  Carlos is a great example of someone who has gone from being disengaged from mainstream society to being engaged and part of a community. I rotoscoped over the original interview footage and used cut away clips from the film ‘City of God’ to help illustrate stories.
