Watermelon dead is about destroying a black racial stereotype that has been around throughout history. Watermelons have been viewed as a major symbol in the iconography of racism, which formed from the slave trade but it has remained prevalent in the 21st century. Does it even mean anything anymore? Which follows on to other stereotype i looked into Pineapple is dead and Banana is dead.
