Oliver Gabe and Ashley Kirby have broken the World Record for the Biggest Enlarged Letterform, the letter G, beating Fraser Muggeridge’s Typography Summer School effort in February 2015:
Will Bindley & Ally Bowman L2 selected as two of the Guardian’s alternative election posters.
Joss Murphy – selected to take part in Kessels Kramer’s Public Prime Minister. One of 100 members of the general public who were invited to tell them what they would do if given a shot at being in charge. Public Vote on 7th May.
Yee Poon – L2 winning entry for the Bristol Pound competition.

Grace Kress has been selected for the United Nations Summer School in Geneva, along with 25 other individuals from around the world.
2014 graduate Pete Hewitt made it to the Masterchef final, BBC 1.

Max Malone L3 won the Clarke Willmott Artist of the Year award.
The Graphic Design Society (UWE Student society set up by L3 GD students this year) was shortlisted Best New Society award and won Best Academic Society award. Paris Daley got shortlisted for Committee member of the year.
UWE Better Together Fund awarded GD society £500 to help the final year publication.
Jamie Powell awarded UWE CreBiz Transmedia innovation project.

Olivia Bull L1 designed the Official UWE Christmas 2015 card.
L2 v L3 Graphic Design football match raising money for the GD Society and end of year publication. Level 3 winning on penalties after a 3-3 draw.
Nic Hussain shortlisted Best British Book Design and Production 2014 awards.
Designing a New Reality – A collaboration with ‘The Promise’ exhibition at the Arnolfini, Oct 2014. All L3 students exhibited at the Arnolfini.
Jake Gunn and Will Richardson commissioned as graphic designers by the Arnolfini to work with the artists involved with the Promise exhibition.
L3 live brief for the University Council HFCE publication, Ellie Lanham designed the final published document.
Students and staff on BA (Hons) Graphic Design have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence for their course publication – We Live in Curious Times at the recent ISTD International Typographic Awards.
Ross James won an iPad for filling in the NSS last year.
