The 27th Letter: Type design competition

Based on a competition created by Ian Fleming – The 27th Letter is a regeneration of the idea that there is a possibility to expand the alphabet.

The competition will follow Flemming’s rules: the letter must conform to the alphabet known in English- writing countries and must represent a particular sound or combination of sounds. Entry is free. No professional qualification is needed in order to enter. All that is necessary is that the entrant is over 16 years old and has an idea as to how written English could be improved.
